"Random" High School Memory...
A special school moment (or maybe destiny?) was the day I watched our varsity girls volleyball team play Lemoore. I went basicly to see our girls in their tight red shorts but got hooked into the game. There was this girl from Lemoore who was killing us. To steal a line from the movie Joe Dirt, "She had long trim legs that went to here, honey-blonde hair and a nice pert rack". A year later, I ended up meeting that girl and her friends when I worked at a Liquor store during college. They would come in dressed to party, Jeff and I would chat them up and then they left. A typical liquor relationship. You know everybody a little bit. I didn't see her again after leaving the liquor store for about six years, until a Budweiser sponsored Fresno State game. I was standing in line waiting to get a beer and checking out the girl in front of me when she turned around and looked back at me. It was her. We married in 1995. Was it destiny? I don't know because I was really into my high school sweetheart at the time and thought we would be together forever. It never crossed my mind that I would end up married to Linda. Maybe destiny gives second chances.
